The Spartanburg County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs created
this website to assist parents and caregivers in their search for local programs, support groups, organizations,
community services, and professionals that serve our special needs community.
Our Mission
"It is the
purpose of the DSN Board to plan, develop, coordinate, improve, and advocate for community services for persons of Spartanburg
County with mental retardation, related disabilities, head injuries, or spinal cord injuries so that they will be able to
participate as valued members of their communities to the maximum extent practical and to live with their families or in family
settings in the community in the least restrictive environment available."
Meetings are held at 4:00 pm, on the first Monday of every month. Meetings are usually held in
Conference Room #1 of the Spartanburg County Administration Building. Please check the Calendar Page for exact location.
